BIOGRAPHY
Veronica Merchant studied acting at the CUT (University Theater Center) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She began her career doing theater and film, and later, in 1993, debuted on the small screen in the soap opera Corazón Salvaje , where she played the role of Mariana Romero. She obtained her first leading role in the soap opera Luz Clarita (1996) alongside César Évora. Merchant was one of the protagonists of Hasta muerte (1994), the first film that Fernando Sariñana made as a film director.
