Ten-month-old baby boy hit by car in front of horrified mum as they crossed road in Hull
A BABY boy was hospitalised after being hit by a car as he crossed the road in Hull.
The 10-month-old boy was crossing the road with his mum when he was hit yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services closed off Wawne Road in both directions following the accident at the junction with Barnstaple Road.
The road was closed between Biggin Avenue and Noddle Hill Way from 4pm to 5.42pm.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Wawne Road, Hull.
"A car struck a young boy as he and his mother crossed the road.
"A young boy was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries."

Cops said the boy's mum was not hurt.
Police carried out an investigation and today said no further action was being taken against the driver.
