Richland Township awaiting permit to begin construction at site of new Rutter's

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — We are starting to see some movement at the future site of Cambria County's first Rutter's location.

It appears a trailer and some equipment have been moved to the work site, located along Scalp Avenue in Richland Township, near Ollies.

Last year it was reported that Rutter's had purchased about 8 acres of land for the new store.

The store is expected to be about 12-thousand square feet, with numerous gas and diesel pumps and several large truck bays.

A new traffic light and access road will also be installed in the area.

Richland Township officials say crews are still waiting on a building permit before construction can officially begin.

No timeline was given for when that might be.
