ROANOKE, VA (CelebrityAccess) — The Berglund Center, known until recently as the Roanoke Civic Center, has announced plans for a renovation

The planned renovation will see the venue updated with new seats and risers, state-of-the-art LED lights on the marquees facing I-581 and Williamson Road, renovated parlor rooms in Berglund Hall, and a new carpet in the Performing Arts Theatre.

The Berglund Center, which consists of the 10,500-seat Berglund Coliseum, 2,151-seat Berglund Performing Arts Theatre, 46,000-square foot Berglund Special Events Center, and 14,000-square foot Berglund Hall, hosts 250 events such as concerts by Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band and Elton John, annually.

As previously reported in CelebrityAccess, the Berglund, managed by Global Spectrum, just landed a new naming rights partner with the Berglund Automotive Group. Previously, the venue was known as the Roanoke Civic Center.

“The Global Spectrum staff is excited to be part of such a special time in this facility’s history,” stated Global Spectrum General Manager Robyn Schon. “A new name and all of the improvements being made should give citizens a renewed sense of pride in their venue.” – Staff Writers
