LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rebeca Leon, Goldenvoice's Senior Vice President with oversite of Latin Talent, has announced that she's exiting the AEG-owned concert promoter to focus her efforts on her own management company Lionfish Entertainment.

Lionfish's roster already includes artists such as Juanes and J. Balvin, and is also pursuing projects apart from the world of music.

During her tenure with AEG Presents, Leon led national tours with artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Mana, Juanes, Wisin y Yandel, Romeo Santos, Calle 13, amongst many others.

Under her direction, the Latin division was responsible for 700 shows, 2.3 million tickets sold and grossed over $188 million. During her time at AEG Presents / Goldenvoice, Leon received several accolades including Billboard’s Women in Music (2009 and 2016), Billboard’s 40 under 40 (2014), Billboard’s Latin Power Players (2010-16), AEG Chairman’s Award (2015) and the TJ Martel Women of Influence 2016 award.

“AEG Presents and Goldenvoice has been an amazing place for me to learn the concert promotion business and grow my career,” said Rebeca Leon. “The company has been incredibly supportive of my efforts to build the Latin business both here in Los Angeles and as a national touring platform. It was a difficult decision to leave AEG Presents, but it’s the right time for me to focus all of my energy on artist management. And I know there will be future projects down the road that I will work on with my friends at AEG.”

“We are sorry to see Rebeca leave the concert promotion business,” said Rick Mueller, President of AEG Presents North America. “Rebeca is incredibly talented, creative and passionate about Latin music and her artists. Her management clients will undoubtedly benefit from having her full-time attention to further their careers.” AEG Presents and Leon plan to continue to collaborate on projects in the future including the upcoming sold out national tour with J. Balvin. Hans Schafer, who worked under Leon during her time with the company, will take the lead on Latin promotions for AEG Presents moving forward."
