Brookville man admits to assaulting girl inside Elk County home in 2019
Elk County, PA (WJAC) — State police say a Brookville man is facing charges following an investigation into allegations that he sexually assaulted a female juvenile in 2019.
Police say in November, the victim, who is now a teenager, reported that she had been inappropriately touched by 22-year-old Ethan Fike, when she was 12 years old, at a residence in Ridgway.
According to the affidavit, the victim reportedly disclosed an incident in which Fike allegedly came into her room, "held her down," and reportedly put his hands down her pants.
Troopers say when they initially questioned Fike about the allegations, he denied them and claimed that he had never been alone with the victim.
Police say they then conducted a polygraph test, at which time Fike's story allegedly changed.
Investigators say Fike later admitted to pushing the girl onto her bed and inappropriately touching her.
According to online court records, Fike was arraigned Tuesday afternoon on various charges, including felony attempted aggravated indecent assault and multiple counts of indecent assault of a child.
He has since been released on unsecured bail.
