Penn State University police say a 20-year-old man is facing charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting a fellow student inside a campus dorm room.

According to the affidavit, police say the victim reported that she was assaulted by Kyle Bell, of Havertown, on the night of January 29th, 2023.

Police say the victim told officers that she had been out drinking and that Bell had offered to walk her back to her dorm room.

Investigators say the two arrived at Shunk Hall and entered Bell's dorm room instead, at which time the victim reportedly fell asleep.

Police say the victim recalled waking up and finding Bell sexually assaulting her.

Authorities say the alleged assault lasted several minutes and the victim stated that she repeatedly told Bell to stop.

Investigators say the victim reported the assault to campus police a short time later.

According to online court records, Bell was arraigned Monday morning on charges of aggravated indecent assault without consent and indecent assault-forcible compulsion. He has since posted bail.

Bell is no longer enrolled at Penn State, according to a statement from the university.
