LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – Nearly 100 people were arrested at London’s Notting Hill Carnival over the weekend, according to The BBC.

The news comes as officers were reportedly granted extra powers to stop and search people attending the annual two-day event, which began Sunday (Aug. 25).

Carnival arrests included: 41 alleged drug offenses, 12 alleged assaults on police officers, 10 alleged public order offenses, nine for possession of an offensive weapon, three bodily harm and assaults, and two grievous bodily harm assaults.

More than a million people including performers, musicians and dancers are expected to take to the streets ahead of The Notting Hill Grand Finale Parade later today, which will conclude the weekend’s celebrations.
