39-year-old Christopher Lee Pray pled guilty to five felony cases and was sentenced to 264 months in prison on Monday. His trial was expected to take about three days but cut a plea deal instead.

Pray pled guilty to the following charges:

According to court documents, in March 2022, a woman was returning home from a play when a man driving an SUV pulled up and demanded valuables. When she refused, police say the man, later identified as Pray, shot her in the stomach.

The woman was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital and was able to describe her attacker. Pray was arrested the following month and charged.

The trial was just one of six open cases against Pray.

KATU had learned that Pray had also been indicted on a first-degree manslaughter charge in connection with the death of Silas High Hawk who crashed his car into a power pole after being shot in December 2021.

Pray made headlines last year in a highly publicized case when he stole a vehicle and escaped from the Oregon State Hospital.
