Mass Effect Andromeda Classes & Pathfinder Profiles Explained
The class system of Mass Effect Andromeda is going to be different from what we’ve had earlier in the series. No more rigid classes, no more being stuck with one specialization throughout the game. The new system is dynamic, and allows you to switch classes on the go. The CES footage has shown some details, and we’ve been able to piece together how it works. In this guide, we’re going to tell you all about Mass Effect Andromeda Pathfinder Profiles and how they work.
Note: Since the game isn’t out yet, pretty much everything is subject to change. Consider this guide a work in progress, to be updated as new info surfaces.ME: Andromeda Pathfinder Profiles
The trailer shows off seven classes:
- Soldier
- Engineer
- Adept
- Sentinel
- Vanguard
- Infiltrator
- Explorer
The engineer, on the other hand, has increased combo damage, and better tech constructs all around – with more health, faster regeneration and better damage output. It comes with a combat drone that decreases skill cooldowns and shoots off an EMP shockwave when destroyed.
How classes work in ME: Andromeda
Since the classes are narrowly specialized, it’s good that you can switch them on the fly. You can do it via the character menu. Not all of them are unlocked from the start. You probably get them as quest rewards as the game progresses, but we still don’t know this for sure. Unlocking certain skills can upgrade your profiles, increasing their rank and the bonuses they provide.
Mass Effect Andromeda is going to launch on March 21st, and we’re going to be updating this page with all the new info we can get before then.
