Manowar Guitarist Karl Logan Dropped From Tour After He Is Arrested For Child Pornography
MECKLENBURG, NC (CelebrityAccess) — When the metal band Manowar hits the road early next year for their farewell tour, it appears as if the band’s longtime guitarist Karl Logan will not be accompanying them.
Logan was arrested in Mecklenburg in August and charged with six counts felony counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, which under North Carolina law indicates that he was alleged to have possessed child pornography.
According to Mecklenburg County Sheriff’ Office arrest records, Logan was arrested on August 9th and has since been released on a secured bond.
Logan’s arrest was first reported by The Blast.
Logan joined Manowar in 1994, replacing David Shankle, after making a name for himself in the regional metal band Arc Angel.
In a statement released by Manowar’s management on Friday, the band confirmed that Logan would not be joining Manowar for their farewell tour.
The band’s farewell tour launches on February 25th in Tel Aviv and includes a billet on the heavy metal-focused Hellfest on June 21st.
