Philipsburg man charged with rape after sexually assaulting child, police say
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A Philipsburg man is facing sexual assault charges after forcing a child to perform sex acts with him Oct. 15, police say.
According to a criminal complaint, David Heck, 18, was spotted by two witnesses in the woods naked with the child.
Police said the witnesses noticed Heck was masturbating over the child and asked what they were doing.
According to the criminal complaint, Heck said they would leave, and when the witnesses noticed Heck was with a child, they called police and followed them out of the woods.
The criminal complaint also states that Heck fled the scene on his bike shortly after.
Police said the child was visibly upset, crying and told the witnesses what Heck had done.
According to the criminal complaint, Heck went to the child’s home and told the child’s mother that he wanted the child to come outside and play, saying he was 14 and that he was friends with the child.
According to police, the child told a therapist that Heck forced them to perform sexual acts and threatened the child if he ever told anyone what happened.
The criminal complaint states that Heck is being charged with rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with someone with a mental disability, corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person less than 13.
