Laurel Auto Group prepares for JCBL season
JOHNSTOWN — Laurel Auto Group--like every other team in the Johnstown Collegiate Baseball League--wants to win the championship.
LAG finished in third place last season.
This year's team only had to replace three players. Manager Jim Skiles thinks his squad can compete for a title.
"These guys love the game of baseball," Skiles said. "And, that should be motivation, enough."
His players agree. Portage graduate Jake Swank says he and his teammates will approach the season with a loose, free-flowing attitude.
"There's not much to lose," Swank said. "It's kind of just come out, and have as much fun as you can."
Opening day of the Johnstown Collegiate Baseball League is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17.
