Jennerstown Speedway cancels Saturday's events due to potential inclement weather

SOMERSET CO, Pa (WJAC) — Officials with Jennerstown Speedway announced that Saturday's “5 Division Racing” program and subsequent autograph session has been cancelled due to potential inclement weather.

"With the pending radar weather forecast, even a late day clearing of showers will not allow the speedway personnel adequate time to prepare for this evening's event. It is also the speedway’s intention to provide the absolute best experience possible for the drivers and fans," the release states.

Jennerstown also announced some schedule changes for upcoming race weekends:

Next Saturday, August 22nd, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will be in town.

Then on September 5th, "the previously rained out Hall of Fame induction ceremony and fireworks display" will be a part of the “5 Division Racing” program that weekend.
