BIOGRAPHY
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Hovik Keuchkerian and his family moved to Aalpedrete, Spain when he was three years old. He spent his childhood and adolescence working as a waiter in his father’s bar. At age 20 he moved to Madrid, opened his own gym and became a boxer. He was a two-time Spanish heavyweight champion. After leaving boxing, he began a new career as a comedian and writer (he has published four books, the latest titled Resilient ). He came to the world of comedy by chance: one day one of his friends, the magician Jorge Blass, invited him to go on stage to do a brief monologue at a performance at the Galileo Galilei hall in Madrid and it was there that he found motivation to do something different. In 2010 he began his acting career when he was included in the cast of the series Hispania, the legend . In 2013 he appeared in the historical series Isabel and in 2016 he appeared alongside Michael Fassbender in Assassin’s Creed . In 2019 he joined the cast of the famous Netflix series La casa de papel in the role of Bogotá.
