Former Spotsylvania Paramedic Aaron Ghent Dies, 44
Ghent died unexpectedly on May 5, 2023, at 44 years old.
"Highly intelligent" and "kind" were just some words being used to describe the former paramedic, who met his wife, Ellie, at Mary Washington Hospital while he was working for Station 6 of the SFD, according to his obituary.
"He was always a source of positivity and acceptance, and had a sense of humor that kept you on your toes," Ghent's obituary reads. "He was a selfless individual who always put in the extra time and care for those around him."
Ghent is survived by Ellie, their four children, and six grandchildren. A GoFundMe launched for the family had raised more than $3,100 as of Tuesday, May 16.
"Those of us who were fortunate enough to know Aaron knew he had an immense love for his family. Caring for them was a significant focus in his life," the campaign reads.
"Aaron Ghent had a unique ability to make his intersection with the lives of others a singularity. An event, which afterward, it suddenly became hard to imagine a past or a future that did not include him."
