PSP IDs couple killed in 3-vehicle crash on Route 220 in Centre Co.

UPDATE:

State police have identified the two people killed in Tuesday's three-vehicle crash in Centre County.

Troopers say Harry and Meredith Dillon, both age 69 and from Tyrone, were traveling northbound along Route 220, also known as South Eagle Valley Road, when their vehicle crossed the center line, for unknown reasons.

Investigators say they struck the driver's side of one vehicle before colliding head-on into another.

Police say the driver of the vehicle that was struck head-on was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center with suspected serious injuries.

The other driver was treated on scene for minor injuries, troopers note.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.

Authorities say two people are dead following a crash in Centre County.

The crash happened on Route 220 in Port Matilda just before 5 p.m.

A 6 News crew on scene says the crash appeared to involve a SUV and a pickup truck.

It's unclear if there were any other injuries.

PennDOT reports the crash happened along South Eagle Valley Road, also Route 220, at West Plank Road.

Officials say all lanes of Route 220 were closed in both directions between High Street and the Route 322 East Exit.

State police are investigating.
