In a June 2020 interview with New York Magazine, Pally was happy to share that they were doing pretty well in their pandemic lifestyle as a family. In April 2020, he also published a journal on Lockdown Parenting in Mr. Porter, describing his typical day.

Pally wrote in his Mr. Porter journal about how cleanliness was not his top priority during the lockdown days because he was too busy entertaining the kids until lunchtime. He and his wife would take turns showering while the kids were preoccupied with more food.
